Updates from DFC Players Meeting with the Chairman of the Team
Debby Football Club Players and coach met with the Chairman of the team; AP (Dr) Oladokun Olatunde, the Executive Programme Director (EPD) of SEAP Microfinance Institute at the Head Office, Ilorin. The Chairman advise the players to move closer to God and put God first in everything they are doing. He also encouraged the players to add value to their lives by going to school.
"Playing football is good but you have to add education to it; a time is coming that you won't be able to play football again because of your age; what will you be doing by then?" said by the chairman.
The chairman, told the player to be good ambassador of the team in their dresses, behaviour, and be a responsible person and never try to copy anybody. He also said, the players should trust in God and not to do charm so that the plans of God in their life will not be changed.
He mentioned getting somebody that like sport especially football to be monitoring the activities of the team so that the person can be giving him direct report about the team; it will make him more closer and also make him to attend very fast to the needs of the team.
"I need somebody that loves football to monitor you and report back to me, so that i can do more for you. I don't like watching my team lose that is the reason why i don't like sport because it easily trigger my emotions and it can lead to hypertension which i don't pray for."....said by the Chairman
The chairman also demanded for the names, telephone and home address of all the players to be recommended by the head coach and submitted to him as soon as possible.
He promise to be giving the players and the coach incentives so that they can be encouraged to do more. During the meeting, he gave each of the player 1kg of Semolina, SOUL Pure Wellness Energy drinks, and the sum of 30,000 naira for the players to share among themselves. And also took photography with the players.
The website of Debby Football Club was lunched today and ready to be accessed anywhere in the world.
The Head Coach, Adeoye Ademola Adeniran, responded by appreciating the chairman and his amiable wife, Dcns Bukola Sanya Olatunde for their support all these years and also prayed that God will continue to be with them. He also use the opportunity to make request especially for the Senate President United Cup in which DFC has qualified for the Final and also the needs of the team like New Jersey for the Team & Supporters Club , Soccer boots, chin guards, balls, beebs, Hand gloves (3) for the Goal Keepers, long and flat cones, the Head Coach kits and other training equipment. The coach said he has created and printed some forms to be given to the players for proper records and documentations.
Finally, the Chairman prayed and anointed all the players and the Head coach to go and make exploits in their footballing career and in all aspect of their lives.
